Job opportunities

X-ray imaging: This is a mostly used imaging technology that utilises ionising radiation to create images of bones and inner organs. One controls the exposure of the human body to X-rays and with the lower exposure delivers precise images of the human body.

Computed Tomography (CT): CT scans utilise X-rays and computer processing to create clear cross-sectional body images of the patient

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): MRI utilises a magnetic field and Radiography waves to create pictures of the body's inner Parts. With the help of magnetic fields 3d images are developed for the complete diagnosis of the patient.

Positron Emission Tomography (PET): PET scans use radioactive tracers to create images of part of the organ that is affected.

Nuclear medicine: This is one of the most specialised fields that uses Radioactive materials to produce images of the body's organs and tissues and assess their function. Doctors use nuclear medicine tests to diagnose and treat different conditions. These include cancer, heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and neurological disorders.

Medical Imaging Specialist: Work in hospitals, clinics, or research institutions to operate and help medical imaging equipment such as MRI, CT scanners, ultrasound machines, and X-ray systems. You may also be involved in examinations to enhance imaging techniques and diagnostic capabilities.

Research Scientist: Conduct research in academia, government agencies, or private research institutions to promote the field of radio and imaging technology. This could involve creating new imaging techniques, improving signal processing algorithms, or exploring novel applications of radio waves.

Project Manager: Lead teams involved in the development, implementation, or maintenance of radio and imaging technology projects. This role demands strong technical knowledge incorporated with project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Consultant: Provide expertise to organizations seeking to integrate or optimize radio and imaging technology solutions. Consultants may work independently or for consulting firms, advising clients on technology adoption, system design, and regulatory compliance.

Quality Assurance Engineer: Confirm that radio and imaging equipment and systems meet regulatory standards and performance requirements. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, and validating systems to ensure they operate reliably and safely.

Sales Engineer: Combine technical knowledge with sales skills to promote and sell radio and imaging technology products and solutions. Sales engineers work closely with customers to understand their requirements and suggest appropriate solutions.

Academic or Industry Trainer: Teach courses or provide training workshops on radio and imaging technology concepts, applications, and practical skills. This role can be in academic institutions, technical training centres, or as part of corporate training programs.
