Syllabus

COURSE DISTRIBUTION:

The Course is divided into two parts.

Part - I

The candidates are provided best academic training in the subjects of:

  • Management of Radiology and Imaging Department.
  • Modern Radiological and Imaging Equipment and Techniques.
  • Advanced Physic of Radiology and Imaging.

Practical activities are provided about the radiological equipment and the radiographic techniques of specialised cases.

Part - II 

Theoretical training is provided in the following subjects:

  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control in the Radiology and Imaging Department.
  • Newer Imaging Modalities and Intervention Radiological Techniques.
  • Radiation Safety and Protection with Radiological Procedures.

Practical training is transmitted in the specialised radiological and imaging procedures. 

  • There may be some changes in syllabi in various universities or institutions

This course mainly covers topics such as:

  • The codes and principles of medical imaging and radiation physics
  • Image acquisition techniques, including patient positioning and exposure parameters
  • Image processing and investigation, including digital image processing and computer-aided diagnosis
  • Image arrangement, including the distinction between normal and abnormal findings
  • Medical imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines
  • Radiation safety, including the safe use of ionising radiation in medical imaging and patient safety
