Eligible requirement for a postgraduate course: Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in biotechnology or a related field from a recognized university with a cumulative score of at least 50 percent.

Overview of Course Curriculum: The Master of Biotechnology covers various following subjects in 2 years divided into 4 semesters:

• 1st Semester: Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology
• 2nd Semester: Immunology, Developmental Biology, Cancer Biology, Biophysical and Analytical Techniques
• 3rdSemeter: Bioinformatics, Industrial Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering and Gene therapy
• 4thSemeter: Ecology and Environmental Biotechnology, Ethics, Patenting and Bio-Entrepreneurship, Research Methodology and Biostatistics

1st, 2nd and 3rd semester have Seminar/Paper presentations and 4th semester includes a project work and thesis presentation.

Career Scope after Master in Biotechnology
