Know The Importance of Community Health

‘If you have life you have the world’. If you are healthy, you can enjoy the maximum potential of your life. We have to put in some effort and innovate some good habits to get good health.

Community Health: What, Why, Where, How?

Community health does not provide a Certificate Course but it is a ladder of understanding and emphasizes health status: “Health is all”.

Community health is targeted at the National Goal: population explosion, poverty, illiteracy, and many other causes. There are many areas/sectors not only in rural but also in urban India lacking our National goals. After completing this program you can provide your duties as Para-professional health workers, to provide precautionary and curative health services to support the social and economic sectors, in addition to the health sector.

Reason for this course organized by a Public/Government Institution:

  • There are no fully developed medical facilities.
  • According to the population density, there is a lack of enough doctors.
  • In case of an emergency, especially at night, there is a lack of adequate resources. Also, and experienced staff are not trained to refer or refer emergency cases to the city hospital.
  • Lack of trained personnel to guide the community on family planning, preventive measures, hygiene, health environment, prevention of polio and AIDS, etc.

What is Community Health?

Community health encompasses a range of factors that impact population health, such as social, economic, environmental, and cultural aspects. Its main objective is to raise everyone's standard of living and health within a given community or geographic area. To address the complex dimension of health and well-being, cooperation between healthcare professionals, community organizations, policymakers, and individuals is necessary. Examples of these collaborations include:

  • Curative and Preventive Medical Care
  • Access to Healthcare
  • Promotion of Health
  • Social Determinants of Health Environmental Health

A course on community health is highly advantageous to all. It's critical to offer the community in rural areas, including hospitals, clinics in mohallas and villages, nursing homes, and dispensaries, the proper care and services. So, this will help you in healthcare. There is no need to have a highly qualified medical background.

How Community Health Course will help you in your future goals?

The program's goal is to educate and equip qualified healthcare professionals. These individuals have received training and will serve as health workers in the community, facilitating health awareness campaigns and imparting knowledge on environmental health, hygiene, and first aid.
